Visitors to last year’s Stewiacke Business and Tourism Committee’s Business and Community Expo had a chance to learn about 30 businesses or organizations serving the area, and many stopped by the Colchester District RCMP table. Submitted photo

STEWIACKE – The Town of Stewiacke’s Business and Tourism Committee is celebrating small business with its annual Stewiacke and Area Business & Community Expo.

Held during Small Business Week, Expo 18 promises to deliver an entertaining and informative event with live performances, good food, and lots of networking opportunities. With a wide array of businesses and nonprofits on site, Expo 18 is great chance to meet the owners and managers, and find out more about the organizations that are right in your neighbourhood.

Expo 18 will be held Oct. 18, 4-8 p.m., at the Stewiacke Community Centre.

Vendors do not have to be located in Stewiacke – they just need to serve the area through various outreach programs. As an exhibitor, vendors are encouraged to sell their goods and services, and demonstrate what they have to offer.

With free admission to Expo 18, visitors will find a diverse example of the businesses and organizations that serve the Stewiacke area. Everything from travel agents to automotive repair, leisure activities, and the work of local artisans, Expo 18 will have something for everyone – and maybe even some things you didn’t know were right in your neighbourhood.

Enjoy door prizes, entertainment and refreshments while you stroll the aisles and meet more than 40 local businesses, organizations, and artisans.

To find out more about Expo 18, email business@stewiacke.net or visit the Stewiacke Business & Tourism page on Facebook. New vendors are posted to the Facebook page as they come on board.
