HubTown Concert Fundraiser

April 6 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The 7th annual Classic Country Music Show will begin at 7 p.m., Best Western Glengarry, 150 Willow St., Truro, and feature Bill Elliott and The Killbillys; Don Haggard; Evelyn MacCrae and Bradley Andrew; Buckie Hazel and The O’Briens. Daffodil Campaign

April 11 - April 13

Volunteers will be selling fresh daffodils in support of the Canadian Cancer Society at the Atlantic Superstore on Elm Street and Walmart on Wade Road, both in Truro. Money raised will go towards funding ground-breaking research and support services, such as The Lodge That Gives and Camp Goodtime, which help people impacted by cancer. The Winding River Op’ry Show will be held at the Bible Hill Fire Hall, 67 Pictou Rd., Bible Hill, 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. Wheelchair accessible. Musicians include Murray Dawson; Dawn Moore, Butch McClellan; Jeannie Fraser; Andy Campbell; Walter Fanning and The O’Briens. Featuring songs of legends such as Jim Reeves, Gene Watson, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, and more. Proceeds after expenses will go toward the Truro Homeless Outreach Society.
