About Us

HUB NOW is a vibrant, fresh, monthly publication focusing on the events that matter most to residents in Colchester County. With 100 per cent local content, HUB NOW offers a healthy balance of news, arts, entertainment, lifestyles and sports combined with photos that truly capture all the things that make Colchester County the best place to live.

It also provides an avenue for the Truro and Districts Chamber of Commerce to continue relaying its message to the community through the Central Nova Business News, which can be found inside each issue of HUB NOW. The business section features messages from the business community as well as spotlight articles on businesses that have recently joined the chamber of commerce.

HUB NOW is a free publication delivered to more than 5,000 select households throughout Colchester County. Readers can also pick up their free copy at one of more than 75 businesses throughout the county. Businesses in Colchester County also receive HUB NOW every month bringing the total press run to approximately 8,800 copies.

General Manager Scott MacKinnon leads the HUB NOW team with many years of experience in the print industry. He works closely with Jeff Gill, who handles the editorial responsibilities for the publication as well as customer service representatives Lyndia Wellwood and Nikita Ross.

HUB NOW is a member of the Advocate Media Inc. family and falls under the responsibilities of Publisher Leith Orr, a long-time Colchester County resident. It is owned by Advocate Printing and Publishing - an independently owned and operated company based in Pictou, Nova Scotia.
