MILLBROOK – A suspicious death in Millbrook on April 1 has been ruled a homicide, and two people are facing charges.
Just after 3:30 a.m. on April 1, a 911 call was received from Willow Street in Millbrook. The victim – a 46-year-old man – was not breathing and was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 25-year-old man from Millbrook has been charged with second-degree murder, while a 35-year-old woman from Truro is charged with an accessory after the fact to murder. Both remain in custody and will appear in Truro provincial court on April 3 at 9:30 a.m.
Police do not believe this to be a random act.
Several locations have been searched as part of the ongoing investigation, which is being led by RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit with assistance from Millbrook RCMP, the RCMP Police Dog Service, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, and Truro Police Service.
