VALLEY – Local police say a complaint of a suspicious man approaching two young girls in Valley never happened.
The Colchester District RCMP investigated an incident were two young girls were allegedly approached by a man in a gold-coloured minivan on Burris Drive on March 22. Through a detailed investigation, the RCMP has determined the incident did not happen as described.
The matter has been resolved and no charges have been laid.
“I want to ensure the public that their safety was not at risk as a result of this incident,” said Cpl. Marc Rose of Colchester District RCMP in a press release. “We understand that the public was very concerned by this information, and we are pleased to be able to provide this update that the incident did not occur.”
